Reiki means universally guided, life force energy. The recipient's inner-self, soul, spirit - call it what you like - draws the energy known as Chi in China and Ki in Japan, through a Reiki Therapist who acts as a channel

It is highly recommended, especially for:
- insomnia
- anxiety
- agitation
- depression
- deep relaxation

Reiki is gentle, powerful energy. It is a safe and simple hands-on healing technique which can help with most conditions as it supports the body's natural ability to heal itself and stay at optimum functioning levels. It works on all levels, mental, emotional, physical and spiritual

Reiki:

- Encourages the body's natural detoxifying process
- Rebalances your body's energies
- Helps reduce stress
- Accelerates natural healing
- Encourages vitality and well-being
- Strengthens the body's immune system

What happens during a Reiki session?

Reiki treatments are normally given lying on a treatment couch, accompanied with soft music, burning candles and a relaxing atmosphere. Reiki energy is usually given through the palms of hands being placed on or just above the body. The therapist will usually work from the head to the feet covering most of the body (apart from the private parts)

Most people will experience a feeling of comforting heat and total relaxation coming from the therapist's hands. This is energy, vibrations and healing life force passing through the Reiki into the recipient, whose inner-self will guide the chi energy to where it's most needed

Some people go into a dream like state, whilst others are fully awake throughout. There is no right or wrong way to feel. Reiki will work whatever the emotions you feel during your Reiki treatment

Reiki goes to the cause of dis-ease rather than just to treat the symptoms
